Scope & Mandate: This Society aims to advance education and training in the fields of food and nutrition to promote the importance of healthy food choices and good nutrition habits across the campus and community in order to avoid risks associated with unhealthy eating habits through interdisciplinary cooperation and knowledge transfer among its members and with other industries and institutions.
Vision: The vision of SFNA is to provide a platform for food engineers to connect, share knowledge, and to promote collaboration with other professionals in the food industry and academia across the campus in particular and community in general.
Mission: The mission of SFNA is to advocate for healthy food choices and nutrition habits to improve the health and quality of life for individuals and communities through provision of different trainings and awareness campaigns by food engineers and professionals regarding food consumption and safety across the campus in particular and community in general.
Focus: The society will provide food nutrition education awareness through guest lectures and training seminars, talks from people from various domains including food industry, medical, science, engineering, environment etc. It shall also promote different food and nutrition competitions among students to further strengthen their knowledge and development skills.
